Leyline

What is Leyline?

A personal dashboard for your own Guild Wars 2 account. It reads your API data and turns it into one concrete thing to do next — not a wall of stats to interpret yourself.

Built for early/mid-game players facing more content than they can sort — not for veterans optimising gold. If that's not you, two other sites already do their jobs better than Leyline ever will:

gw2efficiency — years of trading-post price history and full account/collection tracking. Leyline started today; it can't compete with that history.
true-farming-style farm-route guides — gold-per-hour by activity. Leyline deliberately does not rank anything by gold/hour; that's a different niche, done well elsewhere.

What Leyline actually does: reads what your account has, has not, and is close to finishing, and proposes a single next step with the reasoning shown — not a dashboard of forty options.

Not ready to paste a key? — every tab, filled with an invented mid-game account so you can see what Leyline actually does first.

Get an API key

Your key stays in this browser — it is sent with each request and used and discarded. The key itself is never written to the server. (The server does keep a few things derived from it once you connect — your account name, cached API results, and any playstyle/goal choices you save — so it can answer instantly next time. None of that is your key, and none of it is shared.)

Go to account.arena.net/applications and log in with your Guild Wars 2 account
Make a new key just for this — name it "Leyline" so you can find and revoke it later without touching anything else
Tick these permissions — nothing else is read:

`account`	which expansions, mounts and mastery points you have
`characters`	crafting ratings, hero points, inventory
`progression`	mastery tracks, achievements, Wizard's Vault
`unlocks`	which mounts and skins you've unlocked
`tradingpost`	your buy/sell orders and delivery box

Appearance

Saved in this browser only — nothing is stored on the server, so each device can have its own sizes. Leave a field blank to size it automatically, which scales with your screen — that is what a fresh browser does.

The key lives in this browser's storage and is sent with each request, used, and discarded. Forgetting it here removes it from this device only — it does not revoke it. Revoke at account.arena.net/applications.

Data freshness

Leyline caches everything and refreshes in the background, so pages never wait on the GW2 API. This is what it is currently holding.
