What is Leyline?
A personal dashboard for your own Guild Wars 2 account. It reads your API data and turns it into one concrete thing to do next — not a wall of stats to interpret yourself.
Built for early/mid-game players facing more content than they can sort — not for veterans optimising gold. If that's not you, two other sites already do their jobs better than Leyline ever will:
- gw2efficiency — years of trading-post price history and full account/collection tracking. Leyline started today; it can't compete with that history.
- true-farming-style farm-route guides — gold-per-hour by activity. Leyline deliberately does not rank anything by gold/hour; that's a different niche, done well elsewhere.
What Leyline actually does: reads what your account has, has not, and is close to finishing, and proposes a single next step with the reasoning shown — not a dashboard of forty options.

Get an API key
Your key stays in this browser — it is sent with each request and used and discarded. The key itself is never written to the server. (The server does keep a few things derived from it once you connect — your account name, cached API results, and any playstyle/goal choices you save — so it can answer instantly next time. None of that is your key, and none of it is shared.)
- Go to
account.arena.net/applicationsand log in with your Guild Wars 2 account - Make a new key just for this — name it "Leyline" so you can find and revoke it later without touching anything else
- Tick these permissions — nothing else is read:
